Attendance & Punctuation
Please ensure dancer is dressed and ready to go, we will do our best to keep classes on time and to transition classes quickly.
For dancers performing in the recital, attendance is especially critical in the last 1-2 months before our performance. Please make ever effort to be in class.
If you are unable to attend a class, please contact the owner and/ or your instructor by email notifying them of your absence and reason for absence.
Chestermere Recreation Centre – enter at the main/office entrance (under the Chestermere Regional Recreation Centre sign). Enter into the lobby area and turn right into the Blue Arena. Follow the blue staircase and we are the door at the top of the stairs. It can be a bit confusing if you are not familiar with the Rec Centre.
Since it is not so easy to peek in on the classes and because
we want parents to be able to view their dancers progress throughout the year.

So what does Parented & Parent-Guided mean?
Parented classes mean that a parent/guardian must remain present for the duration of the class but it is up to you and your child the level of participation that you have in the class. Chairs will be set-up for parents inside the class but you are more than welcome to get up, dance and join our fun. If your child loses focus please encourage them to rejoin the class. Sometimes it is necessary for younger siblings to attend and this is okay. However, please ensure younger siblings stay close to the area with the parents. Please do not allow younger siblings to run amongst the dancers or to hit the mirrors. If siblings get upset or need a change of scenery, feel free to leave the room for a few minutes, if necessary.
Parent-guided classes mean that a parent/guardian must remain present and participate in the dance activities. Parents help to engage their child in the activities by leading. Sometimes it is necessary for younger siblings to attend and this is okay, but since this is a parent-guided class please be prepared to focus most of your attention on the child participating in the class.

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact the owner or your instructor. We will do our best to answer parent questions at the beginning or end of class but since the classes run back-to-back, this window of time will be very brief. The best way to connect with us would be by email.
